Outline of Procedures for Obtaining Copies of Photographs
If you are seeking:
1.
a xerographic (electrostatic) copy or copies of photographs,
then
a) Read the section "Policy Statement on Copying..."
(includes fee schedule).
b) Submit the appropriate payment to the department.
2. a
print copy of a photograph for reference use, personal use,
or non commercial publication, then
a) Read the "Policy Statement on Copying..." (includes
fee schedule).
b) Sign the "Statement of Release" in cases where the
archives does not own copyright;
c) Complete and sign the "Statement of Intended Use...;"
d) Submit the appropriate payment to the department.
3.
to use a photograph or other image in a commercial publication
or production, then
a) Read the "Policy Statement on Copying..." (includes
fee schedule).
b) Sign the "Statement of Release" in cases where the
archives does not own copyright;
c) Complete and sign the "Statement of Intended Use...;"
d) Read the section "Fees for use of Photographs, Film,
and Other Materials for Publication or Exhibit;"
e) Submit the appropriate payment to the department;
f) Staff will fill out and sign the Authorization form.
Note: There is an additional fee for rush projects.
