Collections with Visual and Sound Materials

This section is an introduction to the photographic, visual, sound, and other special materials held in the UAA Archives and Special Collections Department. Separate lists are provided for architectural drawings and plans, art, artifacts, maps, moving images, photographs, and sound recordings. These lists identify the collections containing the specific types of special materials and provide data on the amount and type of material. They include brief descriptive notes on the contents of those collections. In each list, the title is the same as that found in the Collection List and in the collection descriptions. At present, the item and folder lists are available only in collection finding aids.

The photographs and other visual and sound materials reproduced in this section are presented for information purposes only. Researchers interested in obtaining reproductions should consult the department's policy statements relating to copying and reproduction before requesting copies. They can be found in the section entitled Mission, Policies, and Forms.
