OMER L. CAREY. (b. 1929) Papers; 1964-1993. 1.35 cu. ft. Inventory.
Dr. Omer L. Carey was a professor of business and finance and dean of the School of Business and Public Administration at the University of Alaska Anchorage. He served as a consultant for various Alaskan businesses and corporations, and as an expert witness in several legal cases involving business matters. He organized two series of annual training workshops in conjunction with the Alaska Federation of Natives from 1974 to 1984. Dr. Carey also authored a number of books and articles on small business financing, banking, and other business related subjects.
The collection consists of Omer L. Carey's resumes; records concerning management workshops organized by Dr. Carey in conjunction with the Alaska Federation of Natives; and various articles and publications Carey wrote, or to which he contributed. Included in the workshop files are proposals, programs, correspondence, questionnaires, lists of participants, and reports. The publications include books, journals, and conference proceedings. Drafts, correspondence, and other materials related to a few articles and a book manuscript are also included. The archives also holds the Omer L. Carey and Dean F. Olson Collection, concerning Carey and Olson's joint publications on the subject of small business finance.

in 1984. Publications by Dr. Carey are added occasionally.
